Garalis Muscat, with its attractive sweet aromas and floral character, is an ideal welcome wine, perfect to serve alone by the glass.
The vines grow in the volcanic soils of the island of Lemnos, cultivated organically, with no chemical intervention, irrigation or fertilization. They are formed into cups and harvested at the end of August.
After harvesting, the grape arrives at the winery in small crates. They are crushed and transferred to winemakers for pre-fermentative extraction with cycling for 4 hours. The mass is pressed lightly using a pneumatic press and transferred to steel tanks to begin the alcoholic fermentation using commercial yeasts. The wine is stabilized and filtered before bottling.
Garalis Moscat has nostalgic aromas of lemon, rose, Turkish delight, powdered sugar, apricots and sweet citrus. Restrained acidity on the palate, with moderate alcohol and a well-structured body, creates a balanced wine, that is finely aromatic without being overpowering, a perfect example of the Muscat of Alexandria varietal.
Serve it chilled by itself or with light dishes with sweet elements - green salads with fruit - or temper sweeter or sour dishes - curries, chutneys - with its versatile sweetness.
