This PDO Lemnos wine is made of 100% Limnio grapes - the oldest referenced varietal in the world - grown in the volcanic soils of the island of Lemnos by winemaker Manolis Garalis. The most underwent wild-fermentation and maceration on steel tanks and spent 6 months on Greek oak barrels. The wine was bottled with a minimal dose of sulfites.
The wine has a light, vivid red colour. The aromas are characterised by cherry and strawberry, mixed with dried fruits and herbs. It has a nice acidity and metallic, mineral, touch and velvety tannins on the palate.
A great match with the autumn and winter dishes, mushroom and meat casseroles with spices, oils and tomato, the risotto and yellow Cheeses.
