This wine is made from 83% Mavrodaphne-17% Vostilidi and comes to us from the certified Organic and Biodynamic producer Evriviadis Sclavos, who is the driving force behind the Sclavos winery and one of the pioneers of natural wine production in Greece.

The colour is intense red/purple, with the aromatic character of red fruits and especially bilberry. It has a ripe acidity and well-balanced tannins that lead to a large, round aftertaste.

The 70-year-old vines grow at an altitude of no more than 50, in a privately owned and organically and Demeter certified vineyard in the Mediterranean climate, sandy/loamy soil, close to the sea. The grapes are harvested by hand in late September and the winemaking process involves long extraction of both varieties together, using native yeasts, in French Allier-type barrels, followed by ageing for at least twelve months. The wine is then bottled with no further intervention.
